Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files or pieces of information that a website stores in your browser or device. Dispensory also uses similar technologies, such as local storage and other browser storage, analytics technologies, and referral or affiliate tracking technologies.

In this policy, "cookies" is used as a general term for cookies and these similar technologies.

2. How Dispensory uses cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies. These are set by our hosting and security providers to keep the site working. They are not used for analytics:

  • __cf_bm (Cloudflare): bot and security protection. About 30 minutes.
  • __dpl (Lovable hosting): helps our hosting infrastructure decide which deployed version of the site to serve. About 7 days.

Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, links and deals clicked, referring pages, browser and device type, approximate location and general site interaction information:

  • _ga (Google Analytics): distinguishes visitors for analytics. About 400 days.
  • _ga_QFESG9KWD1 (Google Analytics): session and measurement information for Dispensory's Google Analytics property. About 400 days.

We use Google Tag Manager to manage certain website tags and measurement technologies, and Google Analytics is deployed through it. Google Tag Manager itself is primarily a tag-management system; technologies deployed through it may collect information as described in this policy.

Cookie durations are approximate and may change based on the provider's configuration.

Browser storage. We also use your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie:

  • dispensory_location: remembers the location you selected or that was estimated automatically, so nearby results load next time.
  • dispensory_visitor_id: a random identifier used to measure deal and listing interactions from the same browser. It is replaced with a new random identifier after about 90 days.
  • Some features, such as administrator sign-in, also use browser storage.

Affiliate and referral tracking. Some links on Dispensory are affiliate or partner links, including links to Charlotte's Web through the Impact affiliate network. No affiliate tracking runs on Dispensory itself. Tracking begins when you follow an affiliate link: the affiliate network or merchant may then use cookies or similar technologies to recognize that you came from Dispensory, attribute a purchase or other qualifying action, and determine whether Dispensory should receive a commission. The destination site's privacy and cookie policies apply once you leave Dispensory.

3. Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps us understand site usage and performance. You can use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which is designed to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics where supported. It does not block every type of cookie or tracking technology.

4. Third-party technologies

Some third-party services, such as analytics providers, affiliate networks and merchants, may place or access cookies or similar technologies when you interact with Dispensory. These are governed by that third party's own privacy and cookie practices. We don't control third-party cookies after you leave dispensory.com.

5. Sale and cross-context behavioral advertising

We do not use cookies to sell your personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Your cookie choices

You can generally control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies or browser storage may affect features such as your saved location, preferences and other features that rely on browser storage. Disabling cookies does not necessarily prevent all forms of analytics or tracking. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For more about how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Global Privacy Control and privacy signals

Some browsers and extensions can send privacy preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where applicable law requires us to recognize an opt-out preference signal, we will process that signal as required. See our Privacy Policy for more.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to site technologies, service providers, affiliate relationships or legal requirements. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
